Calcium with Vitamin D (calcium bonds with D for better absorption)

B12 sublingual

probiotic

Multi-Vitamin

Amount varies as my blood tests are done. Mostly my B12. Started with 1 a week, but then went to every other day as my levels were too low. Now I do every three days as my levels were high ...

I take an assortment of Vitamins. I take a Multivitamin, Iron, B12, B complex, calcium chews, bioitin, and silica. I also take omeprazole because my body has difficulties with high fats and sugars. It gives me stomach problems. I do forget to take my vitamins though. I have a blood panel coming up next month and it will be my last visit to the surgeon's office at 10 months post op. Yayyyyyyyyyyyyyy! I have had no complications. :)

My surgeon has his own line of Vitamins called Enspira. If you google it you will find them. They are a good blend and fairly inexpensive. I also take Andrew Lessman's hair, Skin and Nail supplement, B12 and Vitamin D just for added nutrients! :)

Who did your surgery? Dr. Ortiz did mine. But the capsule are huge! And not only does it hurt at times when I swallow even with 3 sips of Water or soy milk, you must take four daily! I compared the nutrient facts to a one-a-day and it tops the on-a-day but I know start to gag from how many pills I am taking:(

Flintstones Complete chewable multivitamin

Celebrate's B12 sublingual (daily, not weekly)

Celebrate's Calcium PLUS 500 (includes Vitamin D)

That's it for "vitamins".

I never had an issue with taking pills and the Vitamins are normal sized pills from what I have seen. Even though it says to take 4 I take 1 or 2 daily and I also take an additional B12 and Vitamin D supplement that I get online from Andrew Lessman. The capsules are small, about 1/2 the size of Enspira. Andrew Lessman also makes a hair, Skin and Nails supplement that I swear by! My nails have never looked better, my skin is glowing and I have had very minimal Hair loss.< /p>

I take a chewable multi with Iron, sub-lingual B-12 and two calcium chews with Vitamin D. My last blood test showed me low on vitamin E so I take and extra one of those, once a week.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
