I don't dip my crab legs in anything. Just eat them plain..they taste awesome like that. I ate 1 pound of crab legs the other day when we went out. I was fine, other days 2-4 ounces per meal of food if I'm lucky. Like I said some days are good some are horrid. I don't get in much calories per day. I watch more my Protein intake, still can not get the required amount in, but I try. I lost 40 pounds my first month. I was very sick after surgery, did not eat much till about month 2. I would recommend a gastric sleeve to anyone now..first couple of weeks were awful, but once u figure out how to eat and mentally make yourself right it is wonderful. Thank u all for the congrats..much appreciated. Just want to spread the good news to the new comers so they have something positive to look forward to with their new sleeves :)

75 lbs is a great accomplishment!

Is sweet butter lettuce easier to digest at first?

What are good things to start with when starting out after surgery when cleared for solid food?

How are you. My name is Ebonni and I am in the process of deciding which surgery to have. The problem is at the bariatric center everyone has only has the lap band so they are a little bias. I have been told that your weight loss is limited. I was wondering what you experience was and the average weight loss.

Hi there Ebonni... Feel free to snoop all around this forum, you will find tons of info and tons of awesome people to answer questions!

I was wondering if we could eat crab legs ... How soon after can we have them? Going home two weeks after my procedure, and we all like to have crab legs at the casino buffet. Anything else good that you can suggest. My procedure will be the morning of the 27th. Thanks so much, and congrats on your amazing success!

Stick with soft foods when cleared..mashed potatoes, applesauce, cottage cheese, Soup. I would take it slow. You will know if u overdo it..you and the toilet bowl will become great friends :) I didn't eat crab legs until like 4-6 weeks post op. still have to be careful.

I've had a couple of salads with no problem. Filled me up real fast. I've also been eating lettuce wraps regularly. I put fajita meat, 2% cheese and salsa in them. Basically I use the lettuce in place of a tortilla. Taste great.

There is lots of good stuff to eat. Just have to stay away from those empty calories. Not good for weight loss.

Oh man I loveee crab legs! Do you dip them in anything now? I mean I used to use unsalted butter' date=' so I was wondering if theres something else to try?[/quote']

I'm a big dip fan. Eggface has a yogurt wasabi dip that was pretty yummy. Made with Greek yogurt. Try it!

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
