mverges 15 Posted July 20, 2012 So this mostly happens when full or near full? I think it differs fir each person. For me, I gurgle after each sip.
Kiki Von Moonshine 53 Posted July 20, 2012 I think it differs fir each person. For me, I gurgle after each sip. Is it similar to the sound the tummy makes when hungry or have gas? Is the sound coming from near the tummy or the throat? Do other WLS cause this?
Looking Ahead 239 Posted July 20, 2012 My office buddy says she can't hear it, but its like Mt St helen to me. I just wanna crawl under my desk! I just bought a hot chocolate from StarBucks down from my office and its not doing it to me...only food. UGH~ Not worth eating in front of someone when it happens. lol
Pas-Petite 12 Posted July 21, 2012 Is it similar to the sound the tummy makes when hungry or have gas? Is the sound coming from near the tummy or the throat? Do other WLS cause this? I think is nearest to the tummy, or between those two places.
StephanieG86 1 Posted July 26, 2012 I have been sleeved since December 2011. I had a pretty normal recovery however my doctor says I am just a very sensitive little girl. I have had since day one that gurgling or burping sound anytime I drank or ate anything. I spoke with my doctor about it. He said it is weird but normal. He said it will soon go away. So I am thinking okay soon means like a few weeks to a couple months. Well it did start to go away. It stopped after I drank but still happens when I eat. I am still doing it only after I eat. It is slowly but surely going away. I dont do it all the time. Mostly when I eat to much or to fast. I dont think it means that when you start to do it to stop eating. I think that it means we should eat slower to let the food pass down to our stomachs. I have learned to live with it but it will go away almost totally if I stay patient and I am sure it will for you too. Remember I am a "very sensitive little girl" per my doctor so everything takes much longer for me to get over. May start to see it go away a lot sooner for you if it has not done so already. I wish you all the luck.
phatdivabbw 86 Posted July 27, 2012 I am 10 weeks and it happens to me. It sounds loud but I don't think others can hear it. LOL It happens when I drink to fast or have something that upsets my sleeve. I at some spicy tuna last night and roxie (my sleeve) was pissed off and I thought an alien would come flying out of my throat. LOL 1 Kiki Von Moonshine reacted to this

seaux_beautiful_vsg 63 Posted November 2, 2015 I have that also and I'm glad to see that I am not alone in it. It is a bit embarrassing but I just figured I'd better get used to it.
