I started at 253

I was at 237 after my two week pre op and the day of surgery (June 21st)

Today I am at 223.

I don't know if its because Im going to start my period or what but I cannot stop eating. Not only that, I've been on a stall for at least a week. Uuugh!

In 6 weeks-ish, you have lost 30lbs. Your body needs a chance to catch up, reconfigure itself and let your brain catch up to all the radical changes too. Stalls are inevitable for everyone, especially when the sleeve gives such rapid weight loss at first! Don't beat yourself and don't throw away your hard work by constant eating. You are doing AMAZING!!!!! I only hope to be where you are 6 weeks after my surgery!

You are doing fantastic. You've just hit your week 3 stall. Put the scale away and watch as things start getting smaller... Arms, thighs, neck. Mine was a little later. Week 5-week almost 9 (yes almost a month stall) but don't worry. It starts falling off. I started at 275. I am now at 208. This since April 18th. So hold on. It will start coming off again. Make sure you're getting your Protein and liquids. Maybe up the liquids a bit. That helps me. Good luck and congratulations on your journey thus far

Sleeved july 2...I'm in the same boat! I lost 13 before and 13 the 1st week after and none since!

Just think of it like this, if you're following your dr's plan, there's no way you can't lose. With the calories alone it makes it impossible. Add exercise to it, it the recipe for success. You guys got this. And weight is just a number, it's the NSVs (non scale victories) that mean the most. Smaller pants, shirt, and someone noticing that hasn't seen you in a while that says how great you look.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
