Thsenterprises 0 Posted July 19, 2012 Had gastric sleeve surgery feb 22, 2012 and went from 288 to 200. Unfortunately i lost muscle in my upper body and arms... I think i looked better when i was heavier! I know that i am supposed to be getting about 60 grams of Protein a day but am having trouble eating. I found Isopure Liquid Protein at GNC. Each 20 ounce botthe is 50 grams. How many grams of protein a day will i need to rebuild muscle? I know i have to exercise too but exercise without protein will get no results. Foxbins 625 Posted July 19, 2012 My NUT said 60 gms minimum just to maintain muscle mass. To gain mass, she recommended 120. If you're a guy, you can go up to 150. Good Luck!
mesaucedo 207 Posted July 19, 2012 I aim for 80 a day at least. My doc told me the same thing as Foxbin's NUT did. I was told that once I hit more than a few months out I should plan on upping that if I go to the gym often.
