I have not had a period in years thanks to Depo and Implanon. Since surgery however, I have been on it 6 weeks straight! Seriously?! Anyone else with affliction have any insight on it's ceasing?!?!

I has not had a period in years since I have no ovaries. However I for one after the surgery and it was almost two weeks. Even when I did get my period it only ever lasted for 3-4 days. I know it has everything to do with the hormones that are being released and bombarding our body.

Just on my first period after the surgery....not bad, but the blood looks darker...probably because I need to drink more Water.< /p>

I started mine after surgery (great!) but it stopped in a normal time frame, however a month later it's raging!!! I'm going with the hormones being released from fat and pray it doesn't stick round for as long as yours has... I feel for ya!!!

I had a little bit of a period. But I was bleeding for a long time before my procedure. Now, I have no bleeding and I'm totally happy. I only bleed for like 3 weeks. :)

I started my period a couple days before my surgery. I'm now 12 days out from the surgery and it's still going. So I feel ya. I pray to God it doesn't last six weeks! You poor thing!!

I am on Depo too and I hadn't had a period in almost 4 years at the time of my surgery.

I missed a hot before surgery, due to risk of clots so I had a three month break in between.

I had spotting non-stop from two weeks after surgery until A few weeks ago when I got my new shot. It finally slowed down and then stopped.

The spotting was more like a period though, I couldn't use a tampon but had to have a think/medium pad on at all times.

My GYN said the next shot stopped it because it redistributed the hormone to my system. But almost 4 months of spotting.

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
