I have done very good since my April surgery not over doing it and getting sick, well that all came to a halt last night. I ate too fast and before getting in the car to go somewhere, I had to let it all out in the front yard. That is not too bad except I felt bad for the girl walking down the street that had to hear and see it.

And you will be oh-so-much-more careful, lol...

It happens to most of us, if not all of us. Wait till your allergies kick in or you get a cold that drains into your stomach - OMG that was aweful, I was full of snot, literally, for 3 days.

I wanted to express my sympathy, but I'm busy picturing the girl walking by, and now I can't stop laughing......

ate too fast

wanttolose

that was not a fun experience. hopefully you've "learned" from this, the hard way though ^_^

we're not supposed to eat too much too fast - but it happens maybe more than once to some of us -_-

i made this delicious meal once, (not a good cook ;) )i loved it and i ate too fast. Like someone was going to take my plate away and run :angry:That was an experience i won't forget too soon. no details :(

take care

sure you are feeling better by now ^_^

good luck

kathy

Been there done that. Sometimes we ignore the lesson. I was out all morning and didn't get Breakfast. By the time I got home it was 12:30 and I was ravenous. I bolted my food and it did a reverse direction. Then I didn't feel like eating so I waited 1/2 an hour and made a Protein Shake.

Stupid. I should know better than to not eat all morning (hypoglycemic) then to stuff food down.

I was just thinking "been there, done that" too! =)

It was harder for me in the first three months or so of solid foods and is very rare for me six months out. It'll get better because you'll learn your sleeve and know what to do and not to do. That's been my experience at least!

Best to you!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
