Somebody mentioned PB2 on a thread and I wanted to share with everyone. It's a great product -- basically powdered defatted peanuts; all the Protein with very, very little fat and no sugar. Mixed with a bit of Water it tastes just like real Peanut Butter. I'm pre-op but I can imagine that it would be great in a protein shake! I had to order it online, but they have a website that lists the stores where it's sold. Just wanted to share.

I have the PB2 with chocolate flavor in it and it is wonderful :) especially to give a chocolate Protein Shake a little bit of penut butter taste! Reminds me of a reese cup!

Delicious! It's available on Amazon for $5 and free shipping if you add it on to another order. Great stuff.

I really do love this stuff. If you have a Central Market in your area, they usually carry it. Or you can go on the company's website and use their store locator. You can also buy it direct from them but you have to buy at least two jars. And the chocolate flavored one is awesome!

Thanks for the heads up. Has very low carb also will have to try. I had already planned Peanut Butter as part of my post op diet down the road but this should be even better.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
