ok, i'm not stalled just at a crawl...down one more pound today...i'm at 196. also i forgot my body was preparing for TOM..ugh

@hauntie - no pain for me but remember those are deep wounds so there may be still some healing, upset nerve endings, etc. all my incisions are healed for the most part but the largest one is still a small hole that i wipe with peroxide twice a day. if it is too bothersome i would give your doc/nurse a call but personally i think it just need a little more time.

i have not seen some fellow 18th-ers post in a while...praying all is well.

All my inches ions are finally scabed over, no pain to speak of. This morning I'm down 20lbs since surgery, but did come home 6lbs heavier. I'm on mashies, but still having problems getting enough fluids in and Protein in. Haven't started the treadmill yet, told myself I would today. Just a little low still on energy:). Want to hear more updates from the June 18 th group:)

Hi all, so we are in week 4, as of last Wednesday I was only down 17 at a stall and haven't been in scale since, my clothes are getting looser though, my bra fits better so of course I would lose there first...so I will go back on scale on Wednesday and hopefully this stall will be over!!! I'm not fustrating myself by going on every day though... I'm doing good with foods, not getting enough Protein though, I can't stand any of the shakes I've tried so many... I'll check back in on wednesday our official 4 week surgerversery :)

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Anyone had the TORe procedure? How did it go? How much weight did you loose?

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
