Woohoo! I Have Officially Entered Twunderland!

I don't live in Knoxville or TN anymore for that matter. My hubby's job had us transferred to WV. Fortunately, we are only about 5 hours from Knoxville so I can go back for regular visits and of course, football season! :)

Well good Luck either way..my neighbors are from WV! Small world! My hubby and I are huge football fans but our school is in a world of dookie donk right now and rightfully so..penn state ..is where my hubby went to school..we used to fly up for games..and we are just disgusted..and sadden by it all..it will never, ever be the same there...August just won't be as exciting as years in the past!

Not UT alumni but got - in- with a young lady there in college that I had an opportunity to spend lots of times in the Foresic AC. Amazing experience.

We (Hubby, Hubby's family and me) have an organic, cruelty-free lamb and veggie farm in Jonesboro, TN (well, we are still a bit mean to the tomatoes)...

I am mean to my tomatoes too..I rip them right off the vine when they turn red and eat them raw like a cannibal at that plant..lol

You are over at the other end of the state Pookie! I really, really wanted to go to college at ETSU but my mom and dad at the time asked that I stay close to home since they were paying for it..so such is life..I wouldn't have my beautiful hubby if I when there for sure..anyway..do you ship online or do you supply locally?

Yummy! Do you do a CSA? I would be interested in purchasing lamb and veggies.

I don't think we do a CSA, so far we have felt they are not any better for the consumer than what we already offer - and it puts you in no commitment, and (especially during events like the drought they are experiencing) no pressure to produce more than the land can spare.

We do sell at a local community harvest farmer's market. We also have eggs .

But our rates are good, quality awesome and Chris (Hubby's Mom)is respected and saught after in our community for advice, etc.

We do Border Collie rescue and rehabilitation, so if you ever need a gentle, smart, active companion that has not been treated so gently, let us know!

I can give you the number if you would like.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
