mom23 24 Posted July 15, 2012 I just got home from hospital today and I ran about 100 degree fever all day yesterday. They said unless it is around 101 or over not to worry.
enigmachik 403 Posted July 15, 2012 It is common to have a low grade fever after surgery for a few days as your body recuperates. Generally as long as it stays below 101 degrees it shouldn't be too much of a concern. If it lasts for more than a few days or if it goes over 100 degrees you should contact your doctor. 1 MoreganK reacted to this
MarshaC 0 Posted July 15, 2012 Did they send you home with incentive spirometry (IS)? I'm 5 days post-op. I also had a low grade fever in the hospital and as I continue to use the IS hourly at home, my fever lowered. If not, keep moving. Get up and walk around. It's really humid here so my honey drives the the mall and we walk around there. When at home I try to walk around the house every hour. I hope this helps.
