CBT 450 Posted July 15, 2012 I'm preop but my standing script order is for one prilosec two times a day. For three months. That should really help you. life is a journey, not a destination; so, stop running -H.D. THEROUX

bmooney364 30 Posted July 15, 2012 You need to contact your surgeon for that answer, but you probably need to be on something, I am having heartburn too. The surgeon told me it is because my esophagus it raw and that it will heal. He gave me Zefran as needed and I need it 2-3x a day.It is for nausea but it works for heartburn too. Preop I also took protonix daily. If the heartburn continues, I will ask if I can start taking it again.Good luck.
