Nikki613 120 Posted July 14, 2012 Ok now I HATE Ranch dressing with a passion, but I saw this while looking for healthy receipes and decided to share it. Healthy Ranch Dressing 1 cup Dannon Oikos plain nonfat greek yogurt 1 packet hidden valley ranch (dressing, not dip) 1/2 cup 1% milk Whisk together in bowl and chill for 1 hour before serving. As you can see below this filled my canning jar. There is a lot of talk about HOW much milk to use, to get the right consistency and I found this dead on for 'regular' ranch or any other creamy dressing. Protein. That calculates to 8pts on the new points plus system. For an entire jar of dressing. I would hazard a guess that this would yield about 20-24 servings. The best part for ME, is my husband LOVES it! Go me! ****UPDATE**** Some of you are accidentally buying the DIP mix instead of the DRESSING mix with pretty horrid results, so I wanted to post the below for you. They are both in little packets, and looks fairly alike, especially if like me, you walk past and grab it as you go. But there is a difference and I'll post the photos below. It usually looks like there are a lot of those little cardboard holders, but really they are all different. I'll post the two below so you know what to look for. This is what you want. The dressing mix. Can also be used for ranch chicken and in hamburgers. This is what you do NOT want. This is JUST to make the dip that you use for veggies, like they sell pre-made in the dairy section. I hope that helps!! 1 aliandrews reacted to this

Briannasmom 7 Posted July 14, 2012 This is AWESOME!! My family and I are all addicted to ranch dressing and were getting a bit depressed at the thought of having to give it up. Thank you for saving us!!! LOL
Gastricsleeve4me 186 Posted July 14, 2012 I really enjoy the dip just mixed with Greek yogurt. I eat it with canned chicken mixed with buffalo sauce 1 Nikki613 reacted to this
Nikki613 120 Posted July 15, 2012 I know this is an important dressing/dip for many people. LOL I copied and pasted the whole thing from someone's pintrest board
msvickee 212 Posted July 15, 2012 I posted a healthier homemade ranch dressing in previous post because Hidden Valley has MSG. The homemade ranch tastes better than the powdered mix and the bottled stuff.
Grateful05 8 Posted July 15, 2012 where is the healthier version of the ranch dressing posted. I did not know HVR had msg. I try to stay away from msg whenever possible.
lessofmeismore 1,405 Posted July 15, 2012 What is msg? What does it do?
O.T.R. sleever 3,386 Posted July 15, 2012 What is msg? What does it do? MSG is a flavor enhancer that also swells in your stomach. Lots of Chinese buffets use to use it because it made you feel full faster. Nowadays it's not really a problem in very small amounts.

You can find ones out on the Internet, but here's one: 1/2 cup dry buttermilk powder 1 tablespoon dried parsley, crushed 1 teaspoon dried dill weed 1 teaspoon onion powder 1 teaspoon dried minced onion 1 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder 1/4 teaspoon ground pepper Combine all ingredients in the container of a food processor or blender and process on high speed until well blended and powdery smooth. To use mix: Combine 1 tablespoon dry mix with 1 cup milk and 1 cup Mayonnaise. Mix well. Makes 2 cups salad dressing I still use the packets (even with the MSG) since I tend to use so little, but if you used the above you could consider mixing with Greek yogurt instead of mayo
