How come the wait is so long before surgery? September 17th seems like a long time. I have yet to be sleeved either, but just curious if this is the norm?

I got my date of July 23 in the middle of May. Lots of people want to do it in the Summer so my surgeon is booked up.

It was a date a chose for business and personal reasons. As long as I'm able to have a taste of Thanksgiving turkey (knock on wood) I will be good!

Welcome to vst, bigchris! You will hear this more than once after surgery,,most important is Water and Protein. Sip, sip, sip and walk, walk, walk There are posts that give alot of great imformation on Protein Drinks, what to pack for the hospital trip, what not to eat,,etc. You can do a search on about anything you need to know here.
