NuStartInTx 31 Posted July 14, 2012 I'm drinking he chimes now for my preop. I hate real bananas bu I LOVE the banana shake. I got mine at the surgeons office but thy can be ordered online too....I haven't seen an orange I would love to try that one..

ItsaMeThing 5 Posted July 14, 2012 That sounds good! I have tried so many different types of Protein and I thought that I would never find one that I could tolerate. However, I really like the Muscle Gain from Advocare...Both vanilla and chocolate are good too! There is no strange texture or yucky lingering flavors! It is a bit more than I expected to spend but it is worth it. https://www.advocare.com/120127693/Store/ItemDetail.aspx?itemCode=P2602&id=ALL&flavor=B&size=C
Pre-OpLoser619 36 Posted July 14, 2012 Just an fyi... Many post sleevers will tell you that your tastes will change after surgery so dont invest all your money in something you like now for after surgery because you may not like it after. Just thought I'd throw that out there. 2 Changing B4YourEyes and NuStartInTx reacted to this
NuStartInTx 31 Posted July 14, 2012 There are a few good ones out there, the problem is that I'm sick of sweet flavored shakes and I'm on an all liquid preop. The only non sweet one I've heard of on these boards is the Unjury chicken...has anyone tried that? I have to drink Isopure for the first week post op and not looking forward to those. I tried a few and they were all unpleasant.
Changing B4YourEyes 118 Posted July 14, 2012 I purchased the Unjury chicken because of recommendations from everyone, I haven't tried it yet because of what Pre-op loser619 stated above, I will not be adding anything else new until I know that I am alright after surgery. and I DO NOT like the Isopure at all! shangefan 193 Posted July 14, 2012 I like the Unjury chicken Soup. The only problem is that you can't make it very hot or the consistency changes and it because undrinkable. You have to use hot tap Water, which is not ideal.
disneyteach 68 Posted July 14, 2012 Your taste will change, so do not overbuy. I like the Lean shake from GNC. Very popular at GNC!
kczar 166 Posted July 14, 2012 I really don't like canned broth and I'm afraid to try the Unjury powdered chicken broth so I think I'm going to make my own. I figure I can flavor it with a bunch of herbs and veggies, then strain it and freeze in ice trays. Then just pop one out, heat up and add unflavored Protein. That's the plan anyway. 2 Changing B4YourEyes and NuStartInTx reacted to this
shangefan 193 Posted July 14, 2012 I think that is a great plan. When I was at the recovery house, they made the broth in the way that you described and it was delicious.
