Lilee84 648 Posted July 14, 2012 You can get a binder - I used the one I had from my c-section and it worked great, but if you don't have one you can use an ace bandage but they bind and roll and aren't very comfortable.
petite-size-me! 70 Posted July 14, 2012 Hi! I had hernias repaired with my sleeve and finally got an abdominal binder as the hernias are in my groin, apron/ pannes region and feel like they just swing about. Have a look at shape wear like Spanx or go a step further to binders or compression garments. Definitely helps!
lowe1961 45 Posted July 14, 2012 ok I will go look to buy one tomorrow. Thank you...

petite-size-me! 70 Posted July 14, 2012 Start with Spanx or Shapewear and see if that helps before spending a ton on the others. My binder was $115 but I hate wearing stockings all the time and like the option to have it in or off in a snap and no need to move it to toilet.

Red597 35 Posted July 14, 2012 I has that same feeling when I got my gall bladder out. It feels like if you don't hold it, it will fall out on the floor. I'm gonna have to get a binder. Surgery on Aug 28. Keep your chin... and belly up !
5DoxieMom 87 Posted July 14, 2012 Instead of buying an expensive abdominal binder, maybe one of those back support things that people wear for work.....for lifting things....it seems like they would be cheaper, don't know.
jthurman 20 Posted July 14, 2012 Check out Walmart. They have Vassarette shape wear that I have wore for years. Only 2.99 a pair. Very comfy and they hold you in.
butterbean 30 Posted July 15, 2012 I only had that feeling for about 5 days? You could wait it out. It's one way your body makes you take it easy as you heal.
