My insurance claims my obesity is a pre existing condition and won't cover surgery until after 1 year

WTH? That makes no sense whatsoever. I hate insurance companies so much.

This is what I'm worried about. I have BCBS AL. I haven't seen anything about it under my requirements. I wonder can this be appealed?

BS of CA had a 6 month exclusion on preexisting. Just so happens they also have a 6 month supervised so it didn't matter in the end.

Did you have insurance prior to this with no gap in coverage? If so, you can prove this and get the pre-x waived.

We did, just call the prior ins. Company & ask them to write u a letter saying u had coverage from ...when to ...when. Then submit this to u r new/current I a co. Showing u had coverage before this one took effect.
