kimmiechelle 0 Posted September 3, 2006 I am new to the board. I have been a looker for several months, and have found this site very informative. I am scheduled to be banded on Oct. 5th by Dr. Rumbaut in Mexico. I am excited and nervous at the same time. My weight has gone up and down for many years, and I am glad that I will be given such a great tool to help me get my weight under control. :clap2:

This is such a wonderful tool, I wish I would have discovered it years ago. If you have any questions, please ask away. We are here to help. Oh, and if you haven't already, make sure to check out the "stickies" at the top of just about every forum. They are loaded with really valuable information. mousecrazy 2 Posted September 4, 2006 Welcome to LBT! The "sticky notes" is a great suggestion...and I always like to direct new members to the "search" feature...especially if you have specific subjects you want to know more about! See you around.... kimmiechelle 0 Posted September 5, 2006 I have a question regarding the preop diet. I only have to be on the liquid diet for 3 days before and 2 weeks after the band. I was given a list of liquid foods that I can drink, but I have never been on a liquid diet that long. I am wondering how I will make it that long? Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks Kimmiechelle Oct 5th the big day
Stitchy 0 Posted September 5, 2006 Three days pre-banding should be doable. It's hard, but you can do this. I occasionally did liquid fasts for other reasons. Post banding won't be as hard. Your stomach will be swollen and tender and you probably won't want to eat much anyway. It's the most difficult just before you are allowed to move on to more solid food. I liked Tomato Soup from Trader Joe's. Warm and filling. I also blended protein-rich Soups and thinned them down with broth and milk. Visit the food forum for some information. Oh, Yeah!
