A) how far out are you? And B) I don't see it as a big deal if you go over 700 calories because of a Protein Shake, but I would try to stay under 1200 calories a day if you're anywhere near maintenance... Also, what has your Dr said about this?

I agree you should talk to your doctor. Mine has me well above 700. Everyone is different, and has a different path.

Unjury chicken broth flavored Protein Powder (1 scoop in 8oz water) has just 90 calories, and provides 21 grams of Protein. Also, you can add unflavored Unjury powder to most anything...80 calories per scoop and 20 grams protein. I drink chocolate muscle milk...the regular formula has 20 grams of protein in an 11 oz drink, and 180 calories. The lite formula (it's sugar free) has 30 grams of protein in a 17oz drink, and 200 calories. I typically split those in half, so 15 grams protein in 100 calories. You could also try Isopure drinks...low calorie, and very high protein. I can't stand the taste of Isopure (It's wicked sweet to me), but many others like it.

Where do you get Unjury

Google Unjury...you order it directly from their website. You can order single packets to try flavors before committing to a big bucket, if you want. Best of luck!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
