TMyers1471 87 Posted July 13, 2012 I'm 7 weeks post op, and every time I eat a meal, I get hot flashes. Does anyone else experience this? Does it go away? What causes it?
petite-size-me! 70 Posted July 13, 2012 I'm only 17 days post op but yes! I think though it's usually when I eat too fast. Does it happen sometimes or all the time? Me sometimes. I had my gallbladder removed at the same time due I gallstones I had know about for 2 years. Sometimes I get diahrea and get the hot flashes just before that as well. I've put it down to digestive upset, things moving too fast.

I've put it down to digestive upset, things moving too fast. Unfortunately, it happens to me every time I eat. I've had a hysterectomy and was having some early menopause issues (like hot flashes) before the surgery...just never when I ate. Oh well....I can live with it. The weight is coming off. kelliecalgary 18 Posted July 24, 2012 is it similar to the meat sweats?
lunarose 97 Posted July 24, 2012 You may want to try some soy supplements to see if they help. Fat is where we store estrogen so while you are losing rapidly your levels can go a little bunkers. It should settle down once your wright and diet stablizes.
