susanfaye 162 Posted September 21, 2012 That's about 200miles away? is it close to the Mexican boarder? Sierra Vista is about 160 miles from Mesa. It usually takes me about 2.5. Hrs to drive down there. I really need to get down there. I miss the San Pedro River Valley!

takroom 192 Posted September 21, 2012 I live about 25 miles from the border of Naco, MX....it takes me about 2 1/2 hours from my house to Casa Grande. As I said, I go to visit my daughter & grandkids about once a month. It's too hard for my daughter to travel with a 3 year & 3 month old.
takroom 192 Posted September 21, 2012 Deb- it's really beautiful down here. I live by Coronado Natl. Park. There are several places to visit in our area. Bisbee, Tombstone, Ramsey Canyon Reserve, Kartchner Caverns and much more. We are approx 4600ft above sea level, so the temps are cooler. The leaves will begin changing colors on the mountains soon. Ever want to visit, let me know

buffythefatslayer 66 Posted October 3, 2012 Hello all. I am in Phoenix. In the process of insurance approval. I lived in Sierra Vista for 2 years and decided that it wasn't for me. I got out of the military and wanted to live in a neutral place, Phoenix.
takroom 192 Posted October 3, 2012 Buffy-I completely understand. Sierra Vista is a small town & not everyone who has lived here likes it. Not much to do, especially if you're young. We usually go to Tucson for the week end if we just want to get out of town. I was in PHX last week end but it's a bit too hot for me.
buffythefatslayer 66 Posted October 3, 2012 We relocated there from Washington DC. Both of us were prior service. It was nice initially from the hustle and bustle of DC but got a divorce and realized my <3 for the city. Sierra Vista is a beautifully diverse city though.
