TheNewSusie 471 Posted July 11, 2012 I wanna make sure I'm ok, had surgery Saturday, went from 249 to 241 on mi liquid diet and now the scale isn't moving, I know about the stalls and how things take time, I'm getting in all my fluids and then some, I just want to make sure I'm ok and the weight loss will come with time . Just some reassurance would be great!!!
Chimera 644 Posted July 11, 2012 Don't even look at the scale right now - your body is all wacked out from surgery. I gained 20 lbs two days after surgery with all the Fluid they pushed, had blood transfusions, it was crazy - 3 weeks later I was down considerably more than when I went in
*susan* 1,709 Posted July 11, 2012 Just like the others said, what your experiencing is normal. Your body is going through a kind of shock right now trying to figure out what happened to it. There will be a lot of scale fluctuations over the first few weeks. To be honest, when I had my surgery, I had my then husband hide the scale from me for the first month just so I wouldn't get frustrated by the ups and downs I knew it would show me. TheNewSusie 471 Posted July 11, 2012 Yeah I need to throw my scale away, lol. Today was honestly my first day weighing myself since surgery on the 7th. I plan on weighing once a week.
Dooter 1,457 Posted July 11, 2012 I agree with all of the above. Full of surgery fluids. No worries. Take it out of the microscope, back up and get a bigger perspective on the process. It's ok. Just breeeeeeathe....
