Recommended Posts

So I woke up and weighed my self... " gain of 4 pounds" what the heck i say. Im doing everything right. Grabbed my swimsuit and gym clothes. Did the treadmill, swam some laps, and did some tricep exercises that my boyfriend taught me. Got back to my apartment dried off weighed again. "Wth... gain two more pounds" ok... think to myself my hair is long and wet.... thats two pounds. Drank Protein and Water and did stationary bike. Weighed self.... gained 5 more pounds. Cried self to sleep. Got up repeated gym, pool, bike... weighed self.... gained 25 pounds! Then the batteries died on my scale. Lol. Lesson learned.... bad batteries equal non accurate scale!

may I suggest getting rid of the digital scales alltogether? They are really no more accurate overall...just be sure to put your scales in the same, even floor each time and dont drop, plop them around.

Also, don't store them on their side, shake them alot or store them in a high humidity area.

You might laugh but I have a friend that hooked a swing to her hubby's big game scale and weighs that way. I weigh with scales at my warehouse, which I have purposefully removed the oz. and odd numbers from the scale on one setting, and I weigh no more than 1x week, more like 1x every two.

The weight is not your biggest gauge in all of this, and I think, just from observation (no real tracking, just observation on the most basal pre-hypothesis level) that the people who focus on the scale do a bit if disservice to their progression than those who stay focused on daily nutritional needs, keep a journal of foods, vary their interests and are focused on eliminating bad habits.

It is so easy to get caught up on looking at the scale, and I have been guilty of it too - but I have somehow managed a very relaxed point of view regarding the scale, it has worked for me as my stalls increase and the weight loss slows down, speeds up etc.
