ssankofa73 2 Posted July 10, 2007 Is Dr. Geiss' meeting across the Street from Syosset Hospital?
only4me 0 Posted July 10, 2007 Yes, but at the meeting with June Warner this month they said that the July meeting was canceled because it fell the day before the Fourth of July. Were you at the meeting with June Warner the RN on 6/26?
ssankofa73 2 Posted July 10, 2007 No I went to a meeting a few months ago. I think it was either in April or May. Dr. Geiss spoke a little bit but most of the lecture was done by a man who had lost over 100 lbs.
503-250 1 Posted July 19, 2007 Hello fellow Long Islanders, i'm definitely in for a local Long Island meeting, but Panera bread? LOL...they're the worst food for us, first of all bread, but their foods are all super high calorie. I guess there aren't a lot of open spaces with comfy chairs for us to meet, maybe since it's been nice out we could try to find a park....bring our own chairs and avoid the high calorie foods. 18mnthstoknow 0 Posted July 19, 2007 Hey, 503-250 it's Jo-Ann from Tuesday nights meeting. When I first saw the meeting at Panera's I thought the same thing. Much better idea to meet outside some place, folks could bring their own food, or no food! I'd be into meeting with a group as well.

503-250 1 Posted July 22, 2007 Hi Joanne, glad to see we found each other....have you found the chicken dip recipe yet?
18mnthstoknow 0 Posted July 23, 2007 No, I haven't found the recipe yet. I guess I haven't looked because I'm still on liquids, I see Dr. Geiss on Wednesday, then on to mushy's! I threw away the scale, very odd, I keep looking for it, like I lost a loved one! But, I'm happy I did it. Take care, maybe we'll catch up on the 1st at Applebee's or here. Candle 11 Posted July 25, 2007 I'm being banded in Aug by Dr Geiss and like the idea of these support groups being a little closer to home. With traffic, getting to Syosett is a b!tch from Patchogue but ... the idea of meetings in a loud crowded place, SPECIALLY a restaurant, just doesn't appeal to me. Do you guys ever meet any where else? Parks, library, VFW, community center, etc ?
