JenniJune 79 Posted July 10, 2012 What are your thoughts on bringing older kids to the hospital? My daughter (8) wants to be there tomorrow along with my husband and my parents.
PdxMan 4,292 Posted July 10, 2012 If you're OK with them seeing Mommy look like "Death warmed over", then I would say no problem. My wife took pictures of me post op and I am all kinds of different shades of green and yellow. Scared me to see them. But it passed after a couple hours after I walked and got around. kyllfalcon 768 Posted July 10, 2012 Big difference between 6 and 8 years of age, but when I had knee replacement surgery, my then 6 year old granddaughter came to visit once I got home and was quite upset to see me in such a condition.
Pookeyism 1,143 Posted July 10, 2012 I would say it is an individual call, but I would leave children at home, elderly also - too many communicable diseases. Also, and no offense, it just isn't the place to have a child potentially act out. Yes, I know, but yes, they do.
cassieh 136 Posted July 11, 2012 My 10 year old was there. No problems. She would have worried too much while at school if I hadnt let her be there.
