girlfriday 59 Posted July 13, 2012 Splenda works for me. and I was told no caffeine too. I haven't had any in a while, so if I should sip a glass of tea, I am not having Decaf. It just tastes different to me and no more than what I do drink, a little caffeine I don't think will hurt me every now and then.
shrinkingturtle 21 Posted July 13, 2012 I use Splenda and really don't notice a difference. Also, Sugar in the Raw is sugar. It is just not as refined as granulated sugar. It is still in a more raw form. However, it does qualify as sugar.
luauna 10 Posted July 13, 2012 The Walmart brand of Splenda taste the same and at half the cost that's all I buy now. But, have u tried honey with maybe a few drops of SF flavored coffee syrups? Just a thought!!!

ICandothis 108 Posted July 13, 2012 I am from Canada so you may have to look it up but I get it from Community Natural foods....the brand I use is from the same makers as Zylitol it tastes and acts like brown sugar but is low glycemic like everything coconut and does not effect blood sugars at all..It is also natural....very good.... Dooter 1,457 Posted July 13, 2012 Thanx everyone! Yeah I have tried all your suggestions except agave, I see my nutritionist this Friday. I have been "off" real sugar for a long time now, I hope I get use to something soon. Thanx all! Truvia is the safest of the highly marketed sweeteners, since it is made from Stevia. I think straight stevia is disgusting, but Truvia is really good and does not put any of your vital organs in danger. Avoid agave. It's bad news. You can read more about the safety of sweeteners at yeastinfectionadvisor.com. I also have a lengthy email on the subject if you want to know more about the different ones. Kris Cheek 13 Posted July 14, 2012 I can not stand artificial sweeteners but we really like stevia in the raw. It is crystals not powder and you don't need much. My husband was a 4 tsp sugar in coffee kind of guy but is now using one packet of stevia in the raw. No chemical taste to me. Hope that helps.
missmachine 100 Posted July 14, 2012 The thing to remember is that Stevia is not an "artificial" sweetener. It comes from a plant just like sugar and is all natural, there are no chemicals in it. It just so happens to be a calorie-free sweetener. If you are eating Splenda, Equal, or Sweet & Low - THOSE are chemically based artificial sweeteners. If you read up on them, you will find that they have tar, arsenic, and all kinds of crazy sh^t. IMO, go with Stevia or organic sugar (turbinado; "sugar in the raw").
