I take "Quasense" which is the generic of Seasonale, and it doesn't cause me any side effects. In the past I had been on Loestrin and Yasmin, both of which had caused some weight gain.

I am on Mirana. No hassles and haven't had any negative side effects. Just make sure if you get it you have insurance that covers it.

i get the shot, i have PCOS which is tiny cysts all over my ovaries that caused super heavy periods and the shot makes you stop aving your period all together. I know that's not what all women are looking for but for me it's great. I have had so side effects, no weight gain, no headaches or cramps. i love it!

Why don't u get iud?

Don't you have to keep an iud in for 5 years? And idk which one to get. There's one with hormones and one with out.

i was recently looking into the iud i didnt know it came with a little string...can anyone feel it? Does your partner feel it doing sexual activity?

It's in your uterus, so you shouldn't and your partner shouldn't be able to feel it (Not speaking from experience, but I did look up Mirena quite a while ago). I wasn't aware it had any kind of string though. I thought it was doctor puts in, doctor takes out.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Your so close now! It's gonna be great :) Wishing you a speedy recovery and looking forward to seeing how it goes!

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
