Any Ladies At 5'5"? What's Your Story?

Recommended Posts

What is your ultimate weight loss goal?

What is your frame size: small, medium or large?

What was your starting weight?

What is your current weight?

How many months/weeks post op are you?

What weights has your body stalled?

Has your weight loss slowed? If so, at what month and how much?

My weight loss goal is around 140 although I am not sure how realistic this is considering my large frame. I wear a size 11 shoe and my hands are so large I can actually palm a basketball. I'm like a puppy with large paws that never grew into the right size. Ha! Maybe that's why I was fat, I just never grew vertical enough? Anyway, my starting weight was 243.6 and my current weight is 189.6. I'm 4 mos post op. So far my body wanted to hang on to the 200 mark and now the 189 mark (been here for over a week despite working out and eating right every day). I've had 4 pretty substantial stalls and am averaging 8-10 lbs loss per month.

I'm interested to see if I have similarities with others experiences. I want to know if my goal is too ambitious and to find out if I'm on target with the rate of loss that others my height are experiencing. I'd love to hear from you.

I am pre-op at 300 pounds and a medium frame. I wear a size 10 shoe and have large hands, but I don't think my shoulders and all are all that wide underneath the fluff....guess time will tell. My goal weight is also 140. I have an hourglass figure--well, it is really about 2 hours and thirty minutes right now....but I am told that if you are shaped that way you can carry a bit more. However, I want to see 140.

I love it, 2 hours and 30 minutes. When is your surgery?

I would be happy in this range too I guess. I just have it in my head that I want to lose 100 lbs. I'm just not sure it's doable for my frame.

March 13

Me too. We are sleeve sisters. We are also close to the same size starting and current. Crazy!

That is awesome!! Where were you sleeved? What kind of exercise do you do?

I was sleeved in Houston, Tx (also where I live). Here is my work out schedule:

Monday-Zumba

Tuesday-Zumba

Wednesday-Spinning or 10 mile bike ride in my neighborhood

Thursday-Jogging on a treadmill

Friday-off

Saturday-Zumba

Sunday-off or Zumba on DVD or Jogging on the treadmill

Can you tell I've gotten addicted to Zumba? I have also gotten addicted to working out and feel guilty if I don't. which is a far cry to my lack of exercise before the surgery. How about you?

Walking outside or treadmill is about all. Been thinking about slim in 6. Where did you order your zumba from? Who was your dr?

Jhannsen I would incorporate weight training. By gaining more muscle you will burn more fat :)

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
