Just started running again and have lots of upbeat stuff. But for the first time Pink's You are F'n Perfect (uncensored version) has a whole new meaning for me.

Pretty, pretty please, don't you ever, ever feel

Like you're less than ___ perfect

Pretty, pretty please, if you ever, ever feel

Like you're nothing, you're ___ perfect to me

You're so mean when you talk

About yourself. You were wrong.

Change the voices in your head

Make them like you instead.

So complicated,

Look happy, You'll make it!

Filled with so much hatred

Such a tired game

I've seen you do the same

The words are so encouraging. It gets me going again more than any other song. I am far from perfect, but just to have that little "Hottie / Tart" say that I am is encourgaing. Because I know she is singing just about me...LOL

SpecialK, I like Pink, too. Her "So What" got me through breaking up with my husband and "Glitter in the Air" nearly makes me cry every time I hear it. :)

I put this song on repeat when I just can't get going at the gym. It really helps!! I have tons of P!nk on my iPod. Don't let me get me is another good one!

I like to listen to Muse and Imagine Dragons when running. Good stuff.

I tried listening to the top running songs as suggested by men's fitness recently (spent the dough to buy off itunes), but didn't like most of them when listening during a run. Back to my favorite bands I went.

Does anyone know other bands that are like Muse and Imagine Dragons? I really like their sounds.

I am a little on the strange or different side as my tastes for rock/alternative rock did not develop until last couple of years. Before then I was into classical, new age, instrumental, folk, instrumental rock (think: Guaneri underground - love Jeffery sick on electric violin) and world music. I have a classical background as a violinist.

There has to be at least one other person out there like me with these type of music tastes. Lol.

Hi all! I am bored with my current workout playlist and am looking for some new tunes. What are some of your favorite songs to workout to? I'm not picky. I like everything but I find that country is a little hard to listen to while working out.

This is a GREAT thread...I have been wondering about my playlist as well.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
