That is so crazy. I do ortho trauma too. It is exhausting but I love it. Definitely going to plan to take 3 weeks off. Thanks!

Welcome Alabama. I am also a 18+ year OR nurse. I took 2 weeks off because I have a desk job. I definitely could have used the third week off but I am near 60 & waaaay out of shape so I didn't bounce back like I thought.

Are you going to have surgery at a different hospital? You don't have to tell but you are right--people will talk. I personally told everyone & only got a couple of negative remarks. Most everyone was supportive & the ones that weren't, I just told them I didn't ask their permission or for their comments. Haven't heard from them since which is great!

Thanks! I won't be having the surgery where I work. Just don't want everyone up in my business. It sure would save me a big copay if I did though.
