Nope.... I don't think anyone does/has. You're pretty much on your own with this.

Just think... if you eat $133.33 less in food a month, over 10 years, the band will have paid for itself!! LOL

You'll also likely live longer, from losing *any* weight, even if not all that you want to.

Smaller clothes are cheaper than plus-sizes (any one else agree?). But then again, once you can wear whatever you want, you could go nuts and buy more clothes than ever before!

;)

Poor Dan!!! If he only knew!!!

First she brings him a cookie from TO as a pressie then she gets up in the middle of the night and eats his icecream!!!!

(ooops, did I say that out loud?)

*giggles*.....don't worry Mandi, we've likely all done it....if not icecream, somethin' else!! (chip dip for me!).

remember... it was actually a moncton cookie! I just told him it was from TO! LOL And, btw, the ice cream incident was before the cookie incident. I haven't comfortably eaten icecream SINCE my fill! (but I've tried, a couple times!)

I was hoping that at the very least Blue Cross would pay for my hospital stay. But they denied it all ($13,000). Fills are included in my provincial medical plan (or something like that) so they don't cost anything.

Welp I'm in Calgary. Right now AB health care is covering it. The Drs here are only doing 25 bands this year because it's their first year but Dr Mitchell said they are covered right now.

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
