I kind need help on this...

**My surgery was May 15, 2012 (240 lbs)**

2 weeks later was my 1st Dr. Check-up... Well at that time I was (211 lbs)... Since then everything was better n better right?!? Well, when I made my month I join back to the gym... Here is where everything starts... June 15, 2012 (207 lbs)...

I start doing (Zumba on M-W) and I have my personal trainer M-F 1 hour, plus I walk 1hour in the afternoon, I eat healthy n in small portions, also I throw up almost everything I eat everyday... Don't ask me why cuz idk... I don't eat to get full, n most of my snack is a grapefruit n the only Protein I can tolerated is tuna... Water 24/7... My next Dr. Check-up is on the 25th... And the sad part is I'm still (207 lbs)...

What I'm doing wrong?!? Is anyone having or had at one point this situations also?!?

At this point I want to give up.. And just think that this surety waesnt for me... I just read n see how 98% of everybody that had the surgery are doing so well at there 2 month n I'm just stuck.

Any suggestion?!?

Gracias, :)

If you are throwing up everything you eat, call your nutritionist / surgeon's office. With zero nutrition your body is in starvation mode and will hold onto everything. When exercising, you sometimes need to add calories. Lots of possibilities to consider, which your bariatric center should help with.

Why would you give up when you barely started? Almost everyone has stalls, and sooo many posts are about that?

Get the throwing up resolved, and back off the exercize a bit until you do, keep hyradted - and get in your head and find out why you are willing to give up so easily.

Good luck.

Great advice Pook - don't forget that the sleeve is a permanent, and new tool. It sounds as if your body is in starvation mode and not letting go - I know that if I dont get the Protein and calories in, my losses slow down - if my calories are at the upper range suggested (800) I lose about a lb a day.

I would try getting Protein shakes in if you can choke them down - something like Premier at 30g of Protein a pop. Your body is probably feasting on its own muscle with your exercise - and in my experience that is when losses stop - and you also dont feel so great. Sending you positive thoughts to keep up the good fight!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
