Dream of eating. One week out. Is this normal? Last night in my sleep I ate 3 boxes of Cookies.

LOL omgosh I'm not alone! I'm 6 days out and the night before I had a dream I was only 2 days out and already stuffing my face with french fires and ice cream. I woke up like ...uhm. ew because when I'm awake I'm not hungry at all or thinking about foods like that anymore. I don't know if it's 'normal' but you're not alone :)

I have had two food dreams so far. Both times I was eating all the wrong things and too much of it and feeling really guilty. I was happy to wake up and find that I did not really do it!

this is too funny :D

a couple of months ago i dreampt that DH and i passed a coffee shop in a medical bldg. (which we frequently do)

They were selling amongst other things, a million candybars (sweets are my weakness) I bought a butterfinger, babe ruth, and i think i stop there with telling you what i bought, cuz my mouth is starting to Water

When i woke up in the morning, i told my DH the dream - it was good that it was only a dream, or a nightmare, whichever way you look at it :D

Eating in my dreams are noncalororic

sweet dreams

I have had food dreams too. I was only home a couple of days and had a dream that I was eating a sandwich and was almost done with it before I realized that I wasn't supposed to be eating because I was on a liquid diet. I don't even eat sandwiches.... at least I could have dreamed I was eating something good like ice cream and Cookies, or chocolate.< /p>

Oh my gosh! I though I was a freak haha. The first week I had a food dream nearly every night about something different haha. Then I would wake up and be like why in the world would I do that?! And then realize I actually didn't haha :) So you are sooo not alone!

Well I feel better. I wake up feeling a little crazy, but enjoy the food in the dreams. Guess it goes to show how strong food addictions are. I wonder what I will be eating tonight :)

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
