ready4change79 26 Posted July 8, 2012 I am 9 days post op. I am on full liquids. Is it normal to be able to eat a full bowl of strained Soup? Is it also normal to be able to drink like I did prior to surgery. I mean I'm not overeating as the soup and 1 oz of applesauce is all I have had today. I don't know is something wrong? MeMeMEEE 206 Posted July 8, 2012 You won't get "full" liquids - give it until solids and you will be shocked! Great that you can drink plenty - some can!
suzilouise 13 Posted July 8, 2012 I am 11 days post op and today was my first day of soft foods. As per my diet sheet I had a very small amount of porridge for Breakfast, cheese and onion omelet for lunch and fish in a white sauce for dinner. It took me ages to eat each meal as I chewed and chewed it and I had no problems. I felt full all day.
MG in SD 75 Posted July 8, 2012 Yeah soon after surgery you should be able to drink things like normal. I can gulp Water now, and i can drink quite a bit of Soup. solid food is a different story, you will see when you get there Sent from my iPhone using VST
