Thinner Peace 24 Posted July 7, 2012 I woke up yesterday with what felt like I strained my lower abdominal muscles. I also had a short bout of left shoulder pain and the pain from my stomach moved to the right side of my lower back. I dont recall lifting anything, only walking 4 miles yesterday. I normally would ignore this but only being 3 weeks out of surgery I wantt o make sure I am not overlooking something that could be more serious.
Katie713 423 Posted July 7, 2012 Pay attention to whether you have reoccuring pain and is it constant or episodic. Gallstones cause a weird pain that radiates to the back and the right hand side of the abdomen near the ribcage. Quite common after WLS.
N-Linda 9 Posted July 7, 2012 I have had a constant pain on my right side under my breast area. It is manageable but very uncomfortable. I am 12 days post op and hoping it is just wound tenderness and will go away soon ..
bogeydog 30 Posted July 7, 2012 I had that too. It goes away within a week. I am 4 weeks out.
