I am so wowed by all of you that have restriction with no fill...I go for my first one tomorrow and thank god, cause I can eat as much as before surgery. I havent gained or lost, just stuck at 18 pounds. Not that I am complaining mind you, just excited to get the scale moving. I have a 9cc band so he said with the larger one, I have lots of room with no fill...umm great

So, the good news is that if I dont feel restriciton after the first one, I can call two weeks later and have one. I guess with the larger band it will take a few..

I think the info badmadmama was looking for was who's had fills, when they are scheduled etc. That way we have a running list of who's had what done and in what phase of this process they are in. Shall we try this again? LOL!!

Hi everyone, My first fill is tomorrow and I am a little worried. I also have been able to eat more than I should. I have gained back 5lbs in the last week. I am afraid when I go to the Dr. tomorrow he is going to tell me I have streched my pouch or slipped my band. I did great while my stomach was still swollen after surgery, but I have been awful once I made it to week 3. I can't eat as much as I could before, but I have been eating too much. I am ready to get blasted for this post, so fire away. Please remember this is in the support section and that I am repentant. lol. Candy/330

Aw candy! No need to have guilt. It can be really hard to eat small amounts when you have zero restriction. I'm sure your pouch is fine. It takes long term overeating -- not just a few weeks -- to do serious stretching. You will be fine. Think of all the hundreds of bandsters here who've said the SAME thing about eating too much before having restriction. I think the only thing you should focus on is moving forward. If the fill tomorrow doesn't give you the right restriction then try to keep your intake down. Or try eating less but more often. Don't stress - we're here for each other!

First, I want to say GREAT JOB to Jaime and all the ABC's. It looks like this group is kicking butt! Even though I wish I had lost a little bit more by now, I am definitely to the stage where my clothes are fitting differently, or not at all, and even a few people have commented on my weight loss.

Well, I had the first "real" golf-ball, slime, and PB incident since being banded. I was totally stupid -- I have been able to eat small bits of crackers here and there, and I had some left-over matzo crackers from Passover. Looking at the nutrition info and my fitday.com for today, I decided to allow myself 1 cracker. Well, that was a BAD mistake. I ate it too fast, and boy did it get stuck. That was about 9 p.m. It's now over 1 1/2 hours later and I am finally getting relief. I REALLY REALLY don't recommend doing this. It totally sucked, I couldn't even talk to anyone and I felt completely helpless to get it to go down. CAUTION GRAPHIC DETAILS FOLLOW: After a LOT of "slime", and two PB's, I tried the "holding your breath technique I found in the complications site". Didn't work. But, finally things are moving. Anyway, not a pleasant lesson to learn, but I can't say I'm surprised!

Otherwise, I am feeling good -- losing slowly but I am losing. (Wish I could go a bit faster, but I do not have great restriction yet -- despite tonight's ordeal). I am eating less, more healthy, and having fewer cravings.

Okay, I added clarityseeker's update to the list. I wish I lost more too but I know I don't have good restriction yet. This second fill on Friday should help. I'm also eating less and making healthier choices...and exercising!!! But still eating more than I should.

Candy, we don't beat each other up here. We support each other, mistakes and all. God knows, we're all gonna make them. Try your best to stay on track until your fill. You'll start seeing a difference. And get moving!!! Exercise will definitely help to get/keep the pounds off.

We're all doing great!! Keep your chins up (I had two chins but I'm back to one now, LOL!!)
