aaamom 0 Posted November 12, 2006 Hi threebeauties Tummy Tuck was exactly what I expected. I had a difficult first week with the pain, but it really does get better day by day. I am still a little sore, and it is still hard to sleep at times. I can't say for sure what I will end up looking like because I am still swollen and also I must still wear this binder. I did go out last night and treated myself to a couple of hours without it. Its a nice feeling to wear a size 8 jeans and they were on the loose side ! It made all this hard work worth it !!! Insurance did deny me. total cost was $6700. My band was paid for by insurance, so I can't complain. Feel free to ask any more questions and good luck with your journey !!! NewBeginnings2018 81 Posted November 13, 2006 aaamom - congrats on your tummy tuck! Glad your feeling better! I can't wait to see some pics of that little middle! dreaminbig - welcome home and congrats on your new band!! Can't believe that mix up! I would have been pissed too if I was the doc, but it wasn't your fault. They've had some changeover in personnel there - and I'm sure some heads rolled for that one! wendyjoy 0 Posted December 9, 2006 Hi all, I am in the process of getting approval to have the band. I have the nutritionist evaluation and 1 support group meeting left before they will submit me to the insurance (Tufts) . I am hoping to have it done at Winchester/Stoneham Hospital ( afraid to drive in Boston). Anyone else have it done at Winchester? I will update you when information comes my way. Thanks for all the great information.

Bostongurl 0 Posted December 17, 2006 I honestly had port pain for months after surgery. I actually started to think that it might always feel that way - but it did go away. Now, it hurts every once in a while (after sit-ups, etc) but not bad at all.
