waistnaway 32 Posted July 6, 2012 I was sleeved on 4/11. My children and grandchildren live in another state. I have had my 3 eight year old grandsons visiting all week. I never realized how hard it is to stay on schedule with Vitamins & Protein with others to tend to. These very active boys eat constantly & it is mostly junk. In the past I would have eaten every time they did. I have managed to eat my healthy portions of healthy food but I admit it has been hard!! I am in awe of those of you with families to cook for & shop for. I dont know how you do it on a daily basis.
LLuce 34 Posted July 7, 2012 I just posted something about that on a reply that I made on another blog. I am on wk 2 post-op and it has been sooo hard b/c I have a husband and a 13 yr old daughter and grandchildren that visit regularly. I make dinner every night. My family eats ice cream every night. and I'm on full liquid diet this week. I know this will pass but dang it's hard

birthygirl 7 Posted July 7, 2012 I have three small kids ages 6, almost 4 and 2.5. My husband is gone during the week for work and I just had my surgery last Monday. Luckily, I've had energy to at least mostly care for them all...
JenniJune 79 Posted July 7, 2012 I have been giving my kids white meat nuggets, all natural fish sticks, things like that with cut up fruits and veggies on the side: no junk food, no chips. I give them whole grain goldfish once in a while. My hubby decided to start a juice fast for the two weeks that I'm on my liquid diet and then he's going to break it while I'm in the hospital with a salad. I am so blessed. As for cooking for my kids, it bothered me the first few days that I was on pre-op but these last days have been fine. I'm looking forward to when I can eat what they eat and cook them some REAL (healthy) food!
