I would say yes because it would be considered part of a full liquid diet, as long as you strain the potatoes. That is exactly what I plan to do is make my own Soups and strain them when I get to that stage.

would probably be a good idea to buy unflavored Protein like powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury to add to the Soup to get Protein. Potato soup can be a bit high in carbs. I am almost 5 weeks out and I am still not allowed my favorite soup which is Tomato Soup. I was told it's too acidic though I know people have it.

All surgeons & nutritionists are different, mine is extremely conservative though.

I bought loaded baked potato Soup and just pureed it in my bullet. It was great and went down just fine. It gave me the flavor that I wanted and it filled me up as well!

Go For It!! :)

Yep, just puree it, but the others are right. It would be good to add Protein to it. Depending on whether or not you like Greek yogurt, maybe stirring in some of that would work. I think it's just like sour cream.

You have to order Unjury online. Whole Foods may carry unflavored Protein Powder or you can try a GNC or Vitamin Shoppe. Nice thing about buying it there is if you don't like it, you can return it for a refund. Make sure you read the instructions. food has to be below a certain temperature or the powder will clump. Good luck!

There is a trick to adding Protein powder to hot foods so it doesn't curdle. I forgot what the trick was though. As I rule - other than baking with it, I don't add it to hot liquids.< /p>

You can order Unjury online. I use the unflavored Protein. I like the chicken Soup. I have the sorbet, vanilla and chocolate sampler but have not tried them yet

I ate home made potatoe Soup and didnt have an problems- the intake is minimal that the carb content didnt bother me- I did however blend the potatoes, carrots and celery to make it totally liquid after they were done cooking- it was yummy and a pleasant change from the broth, Jello, etc... good luck!

I've been eating potato Soup from panera, whizzed in the bullet, for a few days. Yum! I'm so tired of sweet. All the full liquids are so sweet. I craved saltiness and something with flavor. Was just the ticket!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
