cowboys09 0 Posted July 6, 2012 I am almost 4 weeks out from my surgery and I have noticed today that I am getting fuller faster. Is it normal to feel more restriction at this point? I can't even finish what I have been eating. For Breakfast I had one scrambled egg and a tlbs of cottage cheese and for lunch I had 1/4 cup of chicken salad and 1 tlbs of peas and I couln't finish either meal. MegInNOLA 531 Posted July 6, 2012 Sounds perfectly normal to me. Different people have different capacities at various points in their postoperative course. I think you're doing great to get in what you're getting in at 4 weeks out. :-)

Scrambled eggs are fluffy and swell a bit in the tummy while digesting. It kinda fools ya in the beginning
cowboys09 0 Posted July 6, 2012 I have been eating a scrambled egg since day 14 and today is the first day I have had trouble eating all of it.
grannyk 58 Posted July 6, 2012 Perfectly normal. That is what we call restriction, which is why we got the sleeve...so we can't eat so much. It is really shocking at first to realize just how little we can consume at one sitting. You will get used to it...I promise. Part of the mental reconditioning we have to go through. At 4 weeks, you are still in the healing process. You're doing great...Kathe
