In 3 days it will be a month for me since I am sleeved. I feel so tired still. Is this normal? I do work full time, so I can't take naps. My friends tell me that they think it's because I eat so little. I am averaging between 50-60 grams of Protein per day. My meals are very, very small still. After a few bites of anything, I am totally full and need to stop or I get pains. I am walking every night after dinner.< /p>

I'm pre-op but the other day at my class they said expect exhaustion the first couple months even as your body adjusts to such low calories. They also stressed that's another reason to make sure you're getting your protein/vitamins-- but it will happen anyway from time to time.

Good luck- it will pass. :)

Oh my. Perhaps you should ask your doctor for a B12 shot!? If you don't want the shot it comes in chewables. I've seen some in Target the other day. But I hear the shot has is stronger.

Good luck!

B12 is a great idea. Even better than the chewables are the sublingual (under the tongue) ones. I got mine at CVS.

I learned a valuable lesson, though. I took it after dinner and had a terrible time sleeping. Three am trip to Walmart to work off the energy, lol.

My doctor actually said the sublingual (under tongue) OTC B12's do the job faster than shots...which is quite cool. I then read the same thing online since it sounded crazy that a shot isn't better. So you can just get them at the drugstore. They're in the same bottle as the the pills but are teeny sweet pills that melt away under the tongue. I had to to start them when my blood test showed I'm low on B12 (and D- which tends to go hand in hand I found out).

Oh WOW. I haven't seen those. I definitely have to try them! Thanks for the info.

I go for my first post op blood work in the end of July. I guess I will find out then if I am tired because of the B12. Thanks!
