zack515 10 Posted July 6, 2012 I'm about 6'3" 325lbs. my goal weight is to be between about 210 and 220. Im scheduled for a sleeve august 7. I might be putting the cart before the horse but I'm kinda concerned about being able to maintain my weight around 215ish. I still want to have a little meat on my bones. I weight train and everything like that but I'm just curious if it's somewhat easy to maintain your weight if you try to once your about a year or so in?? Pookeyism 1,143 Posted July 6, 2012 Your body will decide your final goal, in my opinion, much more than anything you do will. Don't set a final goal weight, set it a bit higher, say 230, and evaluate it from there...also, it amps up your motivation to hit goal, and then have a lesser goal, not as far away. Take pics now, buy a tshirt too tight but tight enough to wear, keep it as you lose - in my opinon my tshirts have been better than any tape measurer or scale. I'm a short guy but I have a large frame and have always been big. I don't want to suddenly become short and tiny guy. Go to the Man Room forum. You'll see that there are many guys into weight training who don't just lose all their muscle after this surgery. They're not suddenly 150 pound, spandex wearing marathon runners. They still look like guys you can play Saturday morning flag football against. It put my mind at ease. Check it out.

Donny 270 Posted July 19, 2012 I'm right there with ya! I'm 6'4" and played football all the way through college. I spoke to my surgeon about it and we agreed that I should set a goal in the area of 220.
