Hi All,

Just curious if any of you have lost shoe size(s) after being sleeved? I would dearly love to be able to buy CUTE shoes and not orthopedic monstrosities once I join the losers bench (hopefully in October!). It's not much fun shopping for a size 11W shoe! uGh!

Cheers!

I'm only down 40 lbs (another 140 to go!), but my husband actually pointed out to me yesterday that he thought I had lost weight in my feet! I looked down and he was right! I could actually see the boney part in the top and my toes were much more slender. So weird!

My loss so far is most noticeable in my face and my waist. Still waiting on my hips, stomach, and mega thunder thighs to get the memo......

My feet were never really fat and I have wide feet naturally. I did lose a whole size though and my husband said: Feet don't shrink.

Well they obviously do. My situation might even be from a combination of fat loss and not having the ligaments stretching due to the extra weight.

BTW, my toe ring is lose and the rings on my fingers are sliding all over the place.

These all sounds great issues to have! ^_^

I haven't worn rings, toe or otherwise, in over 7 years... can't wait to be able to wear them again! And bracelets and necklaces!!

Charming Charlie is on my "to do list" once I reach goal weight! :tongue2:

Oh, toe rings! I haven't worn one of those since high school. I love having the ability to accessorize. I heart my sleeve and the effort that I've put in to working it so far.

As for shoe size- I haven't dropped a whole size but a lot of my slip on shoes like ballet flats and sandles slip off my heel when I walk.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
