cam 15 Posted July 5, 2012 Well, I made it to my one year surgiversary! I went from a size 16/18 to a 6/8. To be perfectly honest, I prefer the way I am now to the way I was before! Shocker right? I will turn 50 on the 17th, but feel younger than when I turned 40, I am not in pain like I used to be. My feet and legs don't hurt all the time. I can bend over to tie my shoes or pet the dogs without losing my breath and don't have to shimmy out of the car. I flew to Chicago a couple of weeks ago and had so much room in the seat, I felt like I was in first class! I had a reunion with friends from my teenage years and wasn't ashamed of myself for the first time in decades! This year has flown by and was one of the most fun in my life! I do not feel deprived of anything, nor do I feel that I had to make major changes in my life. I just eat less and dress better. Regrets? Only like so many others here, I only regret not doing it sooner. Good luck to all of you, I hope you're all as happy with your sleeves as I am! 4 chitowngirl, Jolie_KeMi, PrincessDaffodil and 1 other reacted to this
