Need some good diagnosticians since I cant call the dr TIL tomorrow. I have a sharp pain on left side when I move. If my naval were 12 o'clock then my pain is about 9:45 or 10.

I was sleeved on 6-18. I am on Protein Drinks, clear or creamy Soups, and puréed soft fruit and veggies. I am not nauseated, and I don't hurt where my sleeve is. Not really sure where it is. I sip and eat so slowly.

Yesterday I cleaned my kitchen really well. Lots of bending over, twisting. Lifted drinks into fridge.

Anyway have ice on it. But when I move around it really hurts. Pulled muscle? Taking Tylenol.

Thanks for your ideas.

Sorry youre in pain but Maybe you over exerted yourself. The papers I got from my Dr. Said light housework could be resumed after 3-4 weeks. Sounds like you did alot more than light housework. Try some pain killers maybe you did pull muscle oratbe you're just sore. Hope you get better though

Same thing happened to me, plus I caught a virus going to the movies week before last....I went to the doc he told me I was doing too much and need to take it easy before I end up back in the hospital (I dont want to go back) he gave me a script for celebrex and a anti-inflamatory last thursday....I took them and rested the last couple of days, and today was the first day I didnt need them....

SO I've learned my lesson, I'm not doing too much too soon anymore

I just posted a similar post today about the sharp pain on the left side, turned out that it was my obstructed gall bladder on my right side but I was only feeling the pain on the left. Had my gall bladder removed 5 days ago and the pain on the left is gone.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
