mkamai 26 Posted July 4, 2012 Does anyone else ever wonder if skinny people think about food all day? I am four weeks post today and it seems like I spend most of my day thinking about my diet and nutrition. Always worried about getting enough Protein etc. calories aren't concerning me at this point because I just can't seem to eat enough to get anywhere near my daily goal of around 1000. Do the ever present food thoughts go away with time? I'm not even hungry and haven't been since surgery, I force myself to eat something because I know I have to Any thoughts? 1 mylifeinpink reacted to this
mylifeinpink 349 Posted July 4, 2012 I'm 7 weeks out and the only time I think about it is when I know I have to get some and eat it. It no longer rules my mind- I am set free from that now and I LOVE IT- I was ready- and I think that's a huge part of the surgery- just being ready to give some things up- for me that included my obsession with food. Everyone's different tho.
Ms skinniness 3,003 Posted July 4, 2012 I still focus on what I'm going to eat and I struggle with knowing the difference btw hunger and thirst. It is getting somewhat easier now, i'm not freaking out when I miss my lunch. I still need work on this area.
Butterflylegacy 64 Posted July 5, 2012 I have become a food porn addict. I spend hours looking up recipes and ingredients of all the food I'll be able to eat after I'm cleared to eat everything again. Sent from my SGH-T679 using VST
Stephanie_Marie 2 Posted July 5, 2012 Tomorrow will be a week since my surgery and i'm definitely feeling It. All I wanna do is pick up food and start going to town. I think the actual repercussions for trying even a piece of popcorn is too terrible to even attempt. But I'm sitting there and here and laying and all I'm thinking about is all the horrible foods that got me to 289. But I know eventually I can eat t least a portion of that stuff later on.. It is definitely a task. But it's a life long commitment and I understand my health and my self confidence is worth way more. God bless you all on your journeys!
