I was told that you couldn't have a full Tummy Tuck if you have a scar from an open gall bladder removal. It was said that there's a possibility of poor healing. Was anyone else told this or has anyone had a TT that has that scar?

I have no clue but I am researching that right now. I have saw that they cut a woman c section scar and did a Tummy Tuck. Its on youtube. So I cant see why that would be a problem. But like I said I am researching atm so I should and will run across this somewhere.

Good question. I dont know but I supose the price varies depending on the Dr. My insurance may pay but I was 1st rejected due to not losing enough weight from bandng. I had no documentation either.

that doesnt sound tight that you cant have a TT if you have had your gall bladder out. costs for a TT will vary by where you live. my ps originally quoted me 4500 if i was all self pay, but my insurance co did cover the panni, so i ended up paying around 3000

I didn't think ins would cover TT. Do you know why they covered it? I hope I can get mine to cover one! ;)

My surgeon said that some ins might cover the TT if the loose skin was causing skin infections, but it depends on the ins of course. But its definitely worth looking into.cuz I plan on needing alot!!!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
