blondeej 111 Posted July 3, 2012 Hey ya'll, I was 3 weeks post op on Monday. I've had a pretty seamless recovery thus far, but here lately every time I drink or eat anything I get the foamies/excess saliva feeling. And it also feels like I have a bubble right in the middle of my chest. Which sometimes feels like it will never go away. The best way I can describe it is that I feel like I want to burp SUPER bad, but when I do, nothing come out - or I get food/liquid come up with my attempted burp (sorry for the TMI!!) I think maybe I am eating/drinking too quick and not taking small enough bites maybe? I've been struggling with remembering the small bites an slow.... Maybe I need to go back to more milder foods? I am really struggling with wanting to eat ANYTHING right now. I should be eating 600-800 cals at this point and I am lucky if I get 350 in or so a day. Any of you veteran sleevers out there have any input? I am also experiencing the "common" 2-3 week post-op stall, but we won't even go there! LOL Trying to keep my sanity over that one. 1 healinghands50 reacted to this
boots321 42 Posted July 3, 2012 Sounds like you are ingesting too much too quickly! I have the same problem! It is extremely hard to make an ounce or two of Protein last almost 30 minutes! I tend to wolf mine down and then I feel miserable! FYI....I can't burp since my surgery for some reason!
boots321 42 Posted July 3, 2012 I also hit the 3 week stall and it lasted just under a week...

blondeej 111 Posted July 3, 2012 Thanks ladies.... I figured that's what it was. And it's making me not want to eat or drink at ALL, which is NOT a good thing! I haven't experienced any real hunger since surgery, so I am having to force myself to eat and it's a very weird weird feeling... lol
blondeej 111 Posted July 3, 2012 me reason! that would drive me nuts! I can't belt 'em out like I used to but I am very grateful for the tiny ones I get to experience every now and then! LOL
