Hi everyone, I'm curious to know how soon did it take for you to get back to work after you were sleeved? I'm starting a new job in a week and my surgery is scheduled for August 27.

I took a month off. I was good to go by a week and a half but I took the extra time to get used to my new diet and to set up a routine. My advice is to take as much time as you can up front. You can all ways go back early if you are up to it!

I took about 1 week off. I have a job where I sit so it was approved by my surgeon. She just wants everyone to get up and walk as much as possible. :)

Today was my first day back. I am 4 weeks out. I had visions of going back after a week. Doc had me off for 3 initially. I was in NO shape to go back on the 25th! He kept me out another week and I'm doing soooo much better!

I work part-time and ride a desk BUT it's a very busy (and can be stressful) office. Up and down a lot. I don't get a chance to drink or eat like I should.

Today went well but by the time 2 o'clock came, I sure was ready to go home! I'm swollen and exhausted but also glad to get back in the swing of things and get back to a schedule. (Tho I miss being home too!)

Depends on what kind of work you do. I do hair so I'm always on my feet and get very little breaks. I took two weeks off but was not ready to go back, so I took an extra week.

I was given permission to go back in 2 weeks but I took 3 weeks, to get used to the diet. Really I could have gone back in a week since I sit at a desk most of time but my doctor didnt want me driving that early.

I would recommend at least 2 weeks. With a new job see if they offer advance sick leave or will let u work from home part time.

My boss let we work for home during week 3 so I did really take leave for the third week.

I took 7 weeks off my company offers 12 weeks a year 100% pay . I am in week 3 and could go back but prefer to wait till I am on full solids and comfortable with my diet. It would suck to get sick at work.

I took two off originally but ended up making it 3. The pain, nausea, and gas will subside but you are going to be tired. I was drained until about my sixth week. The first two weeks back to work I was zapped when I got home. I even dropped my class at school because I was too tired to do the work. Take as much time as you can. You can always go back sooner if you feel well but it's the pits to ask for an extension.

Each day should get better and better. Thanks for sharing your experience.
