~Prissy Mz~ 13 Posted August 7, 2012 Omgeee Ive been having the same problem. I told my surgeon and he said to swallow it because he doesnt want my body to get used to it. Ewwww I cant. I have a constant kleenex/plastic bag next to me. Sometimes ice works for me. Mine told me to take antihistamine nasal spray, (not working) I've been going through it for months now and swallowing is soooooo not an option for me too. There has to be a solution for this, I'd hate to think thins is 4ever
madisonPA 29 Posted August 7, 2012 My spitting finally stopped...My friend suggested I look on a pregnancy website for solutions.lol.....They said to eat sunflower seeds...or try ice....even grounded coffee....Sucking the sunflower shells did help for a while but it kinda went away on its own. Now its just my heartburn thats kicking my as now....Hopefully urs go away too. *cross fingers*
Rootman 1,101 Posted August 7, 2012 I don't know what causes this but I'm over 1 1/2 years post-op and it still happens. Maybe not as much. At first my spit was frothy and still is a bit. I also have these weird bubbles that feel like tapioca in my mouth, I can push my tongue on them and break them but they are really, really weird. I've yet to be given a logical explanation for this issue.
